On August 15, 2026, Lindsey Ambrus Mejaski, a candidate for Tillsonburg Town Council, published a Facebook statement outlining her position on the proposed redevelopment of the Annandale Ball Diamonds.
She stated that, if elected, she would not support the proposed development at the baseball fields near Annandale. She described greenspace, parks and recreational spaces as important community assets and said that once a large central greenspace is developed, it cannot simply be brought back.
She also said she believes the agreement surrounding the donated land should be honoured when land was given to the community for a specific purpose. She further explained that she had intentionally not weighed in or attended the previous meetings because the Town was scheduled to present the proposal to the Tillsonburg Minor Soccer Club board, on which she sits. She said she wanted to hear that presentation, ask questions, and attend the third public meeting before forming any further opinions.
