Personal correspondence

A survey records your answer. A letter explains why.

The Town's Council page identifies written correspondence to the Town Clerk, marked for the attention of Mayor and Council, as a way to contact all members of Council. Use one of the starting templates below, then make it your own.

Official delivery route

Send it from your own email account.

The strongest version of this tool keeps the letter personal: you write it, edit it, and send it from your own email address. The website does not automatically send or store your draft.

What to ask for

Specific requests are easier to understand.

  • Retain and improve the Annandale Ball Diamonds and greenspace.
  • Evaluate Mall Road recreation expansion on its own merits.
  • Consider the September 14 report on the 1977 Annandale Subdivision Agreement before a final recommendation on Annandale.
  • Explain infrastructure, traffic, servicing and financial implications before redevelopment decisions are made.
  • Report consultation results in a way that distinguishes support for Mall Road from support for housing at Annandale.
Want to write entirely from scratch?

That may be even better.

A short original note is valuable because it tells Council what matters to one particular resident. You do not need formal language.

A simple structure1. Who you are and your connection to Tillsonburg.
2. What you want Council to do.
3. Why it matters to you.
4. One or two questions you want answered.
5. A respectful closing.
After you send it

Keep participating through the official process too.

A letter complements, rather than replaces, the Town survey and the September 9 Public Information Centre.
