Ask Council to retain and improve the Annandale Ball Diamonds at 160 Concession Street East and keep the lands publicly owned for recreation, parkland and greenspace rather than approve residential redevelopment.

Petition statement

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask the Town of Tillsonburg Council to retain and improve the Annandale Ball Diamonds at 160 Concession Street East, keep the lands publicly owned for recreation, parkland and greenspace, and not approve residential redevelopment of this site.

We support evaluating future recreation investment, including the Mall Road property, on its own merits. We do not believe that expanding recreation elsewhere should require the loss of an established neighbourhood recreation and greenspace property.

Before any final decision about Annandale, we ask Council to publish and consider the relevant legal and historical land information, recreation demand and replacement impacts, financial analysis, environmental and greenspace impacts, traffic and servicing considerations, and the results of public consultation.

Why we ask where supporters are fromWe want Council to see the difference between Tillsonburg residents, Tillsonburg property owners/taxpayers, Oxford, Norfolk and Elgin residents, recreation users and other supporters.
